چکیده
Abstract Background The recently developed TIGER endoscopy score was established to reliably describe disease severity as it can be utilized for both Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and Crohn’s (CD) patients.1 aim of this study assess the score’s ability predict outcomes regarding complications such surgeries, hospitalizations, drug or disease-related side effects in a sample UC CD patients. Methods A cohort 78 patients with (n=40) (n=38) were included 52-week multiple visit prospective study. Each patient interviews, IBD disk questionnaire, blood draws C-reactive protein (CRP), fecal calprotectin (FC). Endoscopy performed at baseline. Baseline total scores dichotomized <100 (remission-mild activity) ≥100 (moderate-severe predictor effects. Results At baseline, compared <100, had significantly higher CRP, FC, disk. In patients, terms 52-weeks, baseline increased likelihood being hospitalized (p<0.02). More specifically, 38.5% 34.5% experienced least one hospitalization, respectively. Comparatively, there zero hospitalizations <100. 0% 11.1% surgery 3.9% 24.1% ≥100, effects, reporting effect from medications (p<0.006). reported medication 11.5% 19.2% Conclusion endoscopic demonstrates significant association FC Moreover, measure moderate-to-severe burden experiencing complications. 1. BACKGROUND AND AIMS Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) may result in disability. We aim to validate a novel scoring system for the IBD disability index (IBD-DI), and identify predictors of disability and its correlation with work absenteeism. METHODS This prospective IBD ambulatory clinic cohort study measured IBD-DI, Crohn's Disease Activity Index (CDAI) for Crohn's disease (CD) or partial Ma...
